Privacy Policy

Elovi is built on a simple principle: your faith is private. We have no interest in your personal data, and we have designed the app from the beginning so that collecting it is not possible, not just not intended.

This policy explains what little we do handle, why, and your full control over it.

Journal entries are stored only on your device using local storage. They are never transmitted to any server, never backed up to the cloud, and never accessible to us or any third party.

If you uninstall Elovi, your journal entries are deleted. We recommend exporting or copying entries you want to keep before uninstalling.

Elovi includes optional, anonymous usage analytics to help us understand how the app is used and improve its content. This is opt-out — it is enabled by default, but you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Anonymous usage data.

No analytics event is ever linked to a device ID, user ID, or any other persistent identifier. Each event is anonymous and cannot be attributed to an individual.

The daily verse, reflection, and prayer are fetched from our content database, which runs on Supabase. This request includes no personal information — only the current date and your selected language.

Content is cached on your device so that Elovi works without a network connection. Cached content is stored locally and not shared.

Each day's music recommendation opens in YouTube via your device's browser or YouTube app. When you leave Elovi and open an external link, you are subject to that platform's own privacy policy. Elovi does not track which external links you open.

Elovi contains no advertising of any kind. We do not sell, rent, share, or license your data — anonymous or otherwise — to any third party for marketing, research, or commercial purposes.

We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, social login systems, or any software that tracks users across apps.

Elovi does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Because we collect no personal data at all, Elovi is safe to use by people of all ages.

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We will never reduce your privacy protections without a clear and prominent notice.
